Dean of StudentsThe office of studentsí services assists the extra-curricular program of the University in the following ways:

Charters annually those student organizations seeking recognition on Cuttington Campus. The group must submit a statement of purpose and procedures to be approved by the dean of Student Services;

Maintains a calendar of student activities and makes an equitable distribution of the time available to the various organization;

Reviews and determines the necessity for various student organizations; Insures that groups have a faculty sponsor who will be included in all meetings, etc. and

Manages the student dorm counselor activities

STUDENT CAMPUS-BASED ORGANIZATIONS

The student organizations cover a wide range of religious, cultural, professional and social activities to accommodate the varying interests and talents of all the students. The varied social events, lectures, and cultural programs provide for development of an acceptable student spirit within the college.

Students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities which provide an opportunity for them to enjoy the companionship of fellow students and, at the same time, to develop leadership and a spirit of cooperation.

To be eligible for participation in the studentsí activities, a student must maintain a satisfactory academic average.

CUSA
The Cuttington University Students' Association (CUSA) is the self-governing organization of the student body. It represents the student body in all matters relating to its general welfare. It purpose is "to set high standards of school citizenship, to encourage leadership, and to promote conduct worthy of college students through social programs, the college center, newspaper, panel, and debates."

Student politics based on democratic principles are allowed on campus. Presently there are two political parties-CUP and SPP that vie for political leadership through democratic election each year, and whichever party wins forms the next CUSA government.

All students are members of CUSA and they elect representatives to the Student Senate chaired by the Vice President of the Association. Members of CUSA also sit on six faculty student committees.

CUSFLA
Cuttington University Student Foreign Language Association's primary objective is to promote the image of foreign languages, most especially French. It organizes French tutorial classes for students doing French at different levels. Its members include students who fluently speak and write foreign languages. Its motto is "With Diversified Languages, we shall ultimately succeed."

SEUSA
Southeastern University Student Association's main aim is to foster togetherness, unity, academic excellence and up-liftment of all south easterners on campus and in other universities. It includes students from Maryland, Sinoe, Grand Kru, Grand Gedeh, and River Gee.

YCW-C
Youth Crime Watch of Liberia- Cuttington University Site is a local non-profit, non-religious, school and community-based organization whose aim is to promote good citizenship among people in order to ensure that Liberia becomes a crime free society. Its motto is "Helping to create a crime free society."

BUSA
Bong University Students Association is a campus- based student group including students who hail from Bong County. Its sole objective is to unite all students at the University who are citizens of Bong County. The association is also concerned with implementation of minor projects for the upkeep of the association and the welfare of the members.

LUSA
Lofa University Students Association is a campus-based student organization including students who hail from Lofa County. Its sole objective is to unite all students who are citizens of Lofa County. The association is also concerned with implementation of minor projects for the upkeep of the association and the welfare of the members.

NUSA
Nimba University Students Association is a campus-based organization including students who hail from Nimba County. Its sole objective is to unite all students at the University who are citizens of Nimba County. The association is also concerned with implementation of minor projects for the upkeep of the association and the welfare of the members.

MAGUSA
Margibi University Students Association is a campus-based based organization including students who hail from Margibi County. Its sole objective is to unite all students at the University who are citizens of Margibi County. The association is also concerned with implementation of minor projects for the upkeep of the association and the welfare of the members.

CAMUSA
Grand Cape Mount University Students Association is a campus-based based organization including students who hail from Grand Cape Mount County. Its sole objective is to unite all students at the University who are citizens of Grand Cape Mount County. The association is also concerned with implementation of minor projects for the upkeep of the association and the welfare of the members.

CAIRD
Students from the College of Agriculture and Integrated Rural Development have grouped themselves into an association so they can be able to help their fellow students, undertake mini projects and assist in improving their own college.

SURE
Students United for Reconstruction and Education is a non-profit and non-religious campus-based organization whose members comprise of students of Cuttington University. SURE seeks to implement developmental projects geared toward improving the University and the welfare of students. In doing so, SURE organizes symposiums and other fund raising programs.

YIELD
Youth Improvement Effort for the Less Fortunate and Disabled is a non-profit organization. It strives to unify Liberian youths and provide incentives to enhance their livelihood both academically and socially. YIELD encourages youths to take advantage in acquiring relevant education ñ education meant to promote youthfulness through socio-economic and healthy philanthropic development programs. Meanwhile, YIELD intends accomplishing its aims through scholarships, symposiums, loans, and provision of textbooks and stationery for deserving students. Its motto is "Charity is a blessing."

CUNSSA
Cuttington University Natural Science Students Association is campus-based organizations established to help students of the Natural Science College do additional research and exploration. It also seeks to unite all science students and also undertake mini projects for the betterment of the Science College and the entire University. Its members include students majoring in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics. Its motto is "Sobriety, Exploration and Research."

NSAC
The Nursing Students Association of Cuttington is a campus-based organization comprising all students majoring in Nursing. The objective is to unite Nursing students so they can be able to contribute toward the development of themselves, their college, and the University.

STUDENT CHRISTAIN ASSOCIATION
This organization makes a positive contribution to the religious life of the campus and encourages various service projects or note in the community; Altar guild for women; Acolytes for men; Sunday school teaching, etc. Other projects may be invited when need arises.

THE ALTHLETIC AND "FAN" CLUBS
The Athletic Association is composed of students and faculty members, who promote the extra-mural sports activities of the students, make all arrangements for such sports events, thereby contributing to the welfare and liveliness of the University community. Separated from the Athletic Association but linked to its interests and activities are three "Fan" clubs ñ Nader, Mason, and Freeman. They encourage intra-mural sports, occasional extra-mural events, and various social functions
